Is it really "NO News Is Good News?"

As of Thursday, the team was evacuating Beaumont and sending them to Austin, Tx. They were to return back to Beaumont afterwards and do more evacuating.
Galveston started getting his yesterday by the rain and winds of Ike. The Coast Guard was doing some rescues on the Island of Galveston. Houston was told that they would be safer if they stayed inside the city. However, Houston is getting hit hard with a lot of damage to large buildings. The 911 service in the city is not answering any calls, they are all gone. A fire broke out early this morning and the fire department could not respond because there are not phone and power in the city. Ike made land early this morning as a cat. 2. It has now been downgraded to a cat 1 with winds now around 50-60 mps. The spread of this storm is really large. We should be feeling the effects of this storm starting tonight, early tomorrow.
We have not heard from the Strike team since yesterday morning where they had returned to Beaumont to evacuate a hospital. We have not heard from them since.
I am going to text John Standridge this morning and hopefully he will get the text and respond.
