They were in Tyler yesterday and taking patients back to Beaumont. They finally got some sleep at the Holiday Inn in Tyler. The real Holiday Inn, not a make shift place. This place had real beds. However, Chuck could not sleep in his bed. He is so use to his cot, that he fought the bed, but he did get some sleep.
When he called me this afternoon, he was washing an ambulance getting the bugs off of it. There are these bugs down there that they call "Love Bugs". He said that the rigs where covered with them. He took it to the car wash. They were told that they had to get them off because the acid in the bugs will take off the paint.
They are staying in Tyler tonight until 8 in the morning. There are not enough cots there for everyone. I guess some will be sleeping on the floor again. They do not know what they will be doing tomorrow or where. They suspect that they will be there to wait on hurricane "Ike". If that is the case, everyone they took back, will have to be moved again. Everyone is so tired and worn out. Many just want to stay there and get it done, some wants to come back to get some rest.
Life goes by too fast and we often look for quick and fast ways to do things. Turn around and we see that everything else has changed. I want to talk about my fight with depression, overweight, teaching special needs, ways to do things such as canning, crafting, parenting, grandparenting, trying to do things as natural, but as safe as possible. Coupon hints, money saving strategies, food preparations, Whatever else I can come up with.
